It got warmer today and so we closed up the house and had the air on by 11 a.m. There was some humidity in the air and it felt good inside. I spent most of the day in the studio, cutting glass angels and trying to get a load ready before I go to bed tonight. I'll still have more to go after I post this. Well, the stupid Outlook Express email is giving me fits again. It keeps telling me my mailbox is full. It must be a pretty small space, because I really don’t have much in it, but I went ahead and deleted just about every single thing. The last e mail I got through them was 11/22. I never got anything cut out to put in the kiln today. One of our good friends has been in the hospital with knee surgery. We had him and his wife (Jim & Gail) over for dinner, then our neighbors across the street asked us all over for a drink after dinner and some boiled peanuts that he fixed. Hot out of the kiln---a new batch of 10 owls....
and some partial future eyes for the next batch.
(the pupils start out as tiny squares and melt into round little balls that I then use in the next fusing. And see I made a couple of half closed eyes for an experiment. We'll see how those turn out)

Dragonfly on the move . . .
I’ve been working lately on perfecting a little fused dragonfly. My idea is to make something to just kind of tuck down in among the leaves of an indoor or outdoor plant. Here is the one I made yesterday.
